LightningShare app for iPhone and iPad

Once you’ve taken your photos though, you’ll need some way to share them. Yes, you could go the long way around and open Twitter, Mail, iMessage or any other sharing app and do it from there. Or you could use something like LightningShare.

LightningShare is a quick and easy way to see all of your photos and then share them instantly, right from within the app. You’ll be able to share via all the usual methods and a few that are a tad more unusual, too. We suspect you’ll find what you’re looking for and you won’t have to leave the app to do it.

Once you’ve shared your photos you can even use LightningShare to delete it so that you don’t end up with your Camera Roll being full of photos that you just don’t need anymore. We’ve fallen into the trap of having hundreds of megabytes of photos sat on our iPhones and iPads before, and it’s just no fun at all. Delete them when you’re done with them!

Another feature which we like about LightningShare is the Today widget that lets users quickly view and share photos right from the Today screen inside Notification Center. It’s not a big thing by any means, but it’s a sweet little cherry on top of an app that will already prove plenty useful to many.
